Volt and BoltEV sales reports for June are in and the BoltEV and Volt have overtaken Prius Prime! The numbers break down to 1,745 Volts and 1,642 BoltEVs sold in June bringing their yearly totals to 10,932 and 7,592 units respectively. Only Tesla Model S has sold more units and its only by 263 units this year! With BoltEV distribution going national in August and September plus 2018 Volt Production beginning soon, Chevy is poised to increase sales numbers over the next dozen months!

Charging Infrastructure is greatly improving across the entire world and we are seeing this first hand here at Rosedale Chevrolet. Our first DCFC (DC Fast Charger) has arrived and installation of this high powered charger along with our Level 2 chargers is scheduled over the next couple of weeks. As your Chevy EV Destination, we pledge to charge every EV that goes through our service or sales departments. When available, free charging will be open to the public and vehicles of all makes. We do lock our gates at night, so no overnight charging please. Watch Plugshare.com for our chargers coming online soon.
Chargers are also being installed all over Minnesota and Wisconsin. We recently visited the DCFC at Albertville Outlet Mall and we were pleased to see the vast charging options in Duluth's Harbor Park with FREE Solar Fast Charging and 7 Level 2 chargers! We are excited about the vast quantity of charging facilities around our area!

Rosedale Chevrolet's Electric Vehicle Department continues to visit public and private events all over the upper midwest. In June, we provided Ride n Drive experiences at the Makers Faire at the MN State Fairgrounds, Dairyland Power's Membership Meeting in LaCrosse Wisconsin, Roseville Rosefest and Midwest Evolve's event at the Albertville Outlet Mall. I even had the honor to drive Dairyland Power's VIA Motors Silverado! In July we are excited to attend events hosted by Xcel Energy, 3M and others. If you know of an event where folks would like to see and/or drive the BoltEV and/or Volt, please let us know and we will work to get it onto our schedule. You can look for our BoltEV at the Eco Experience at the Minnesota State Fair this year, charging under a solar panel roof.

• .312 Aerodynamic Drag
• 94 Cubic Feet of Passenger Space is equal to Tesla Model S
• The Battery Pack weighs 960 lbs, contains 288 individual cells in 10 modules and sits inside Steel and Plastic/Composite case with Steel Reinforced bottom
• In the first 0.5 seconds after pushing the Power Button, the BoltEV checks 1400 Controls and Modules to ensure proper operation

Happy June to you!

At Rosedale Chevrolet, we are extremely excited as we move closer to receiving mass shipments of the All-New All-Electric Chevy BoltEV! Our experience thus far has been wonderful including our visits to area public and private events as well as meeting so many terrific folks who have a new or renewed interest in vehicle electrification. Below you will find a recap of some events we have attended and some that are coming up, an updated timeline of events related to ordering the BoltEV and some news about the Volt.

Events: We were pleased to join the congregation and neighbors at New Life Presbyterian Church during their "Where We Are" event. We brought the Volt along and provided Ride n Drives for a dozen or so folks. My family was happy to join me for this event and found the church members to be welcoming and they had a great time as well.
We also had a chance to join Matthew Blackler at the Wright-Hennepin Electric Coop Board Meeting. I brought the BoltEV for Ride n Drives and walkarounds for attendees and engaged in wonderful conversation. 
Drive Electric Minnesota has graciously invited us to a couple Employer Hosted Ride N Drives including at the Anderson Company. They have a nice article and collection of images that you can check out by clicking HERE.
Midwest Evolve was nice enough to invite us to the Minneapolis Health and Safety Expo at the Minneapolis Convention Center for a two-day, indoor ride n drive with the BoltEV. It was neat to allow folks to take test drives inside the Convention Center Hall! We also brought a Diesel Chevy Cruze along.
Our next event is the Makers Faire at the MN State Fairgrounds this coming Saturday where we will provide ride n drive opportunities. We will also attend the Dairyland Power Representative Meeting in LaCrosse Wisconsin later this month.

Chevrolet BoltEV Sales jumped 21% in May with 1566 reported deliveries. Volt slowed a bit to just over 1800 units in May, likely due to the increased availability of the BoltEV. I anticipate both numbers to climb as we get into the summer season and availability increases including the Adaptive Cruise Control on the Volt. InsideEVs.com says, "Of the 1,566 Bolt EVs moved, GM said 1,438 were to retail customers and 128 to fleet/commercial." See the story here.
